You took the word right out of my mouth- he’s very athletic. Not exactly a tank but definitely on the opposite side of scrawny. I researched his body type by looking at Olympic figure skaters (and of course a certain very sturdily-built silent comedian), so although he’s compact there’s a powerhouse of muscle in there… or at least there was.

Don’t let the being short, invisible, and cowardly throw you; RGB isn’t just elegantly proportioned, his physical form is exemplary.

Of course! In fact the next two (main) characters to appear are both female! Alsotheymayormaynotbetotallydatingeachotherbutyes please be patient, this is a long-ass story and while it’s a fair enough observation that we need more stories that have a better gender balance don’t get too hasty when you haven’t got the whole picture! She does! She likes lots of shows, but among her favourites are Pingu, the Moomins and Dangermouse! She also really likes nature programs and anything with David Attenborough :|b

As for the page choice it’s the first page and the worst one in the whole comic imho so it’s hardly a personal choice here but I’m just so delighted that people are having fun and doing all this work so I feel obliged to post all the submissions I get! I’m not the one translating, these are all by wonderful volunteers! If you were in the same position I’m sure you’d feel the same, I’m just trying to accept all this love that I’m being given.

However as with all memes I do understand this will be getting annoying now, so after today I’m going to put a cap on it and not post any more (apart from the ones in the queue), so sorry for the rest of you but that’s all folks! Well, first of all thank you so much for being so kind and loving the character so much :’D but I’m really glad you feel that way, because I really wanted RGB to be a grounding character in the story. You don’t know anything about him, but there is something about him that you immediately empathize with; because he is vulnerable. As weird and enigmatic as he is, I’ve wanted from the start to portray someone who is terribly insecure, someone flawed and lost but who is trying to cover that fact up. He’s someone who can be hurt, has been hurt, and is afraid of being hurt. In a lot of ways RGB is one of the most human characters I’ve ever made.

Oh boy- well, someone was going to dig this one up again at some point so I’d better just be clean about it. Yes! tumblr was doing a ‘what arcana would you be’ for the Persona games and I was just like OBVS MAGICIAN RIGHT HURR and then I ended up drawing the darned embodiment of my worst aspects because sure why not and wouldn’t you know it look who it turned out to be.

He very quickly evolved past it into his own character and then story happened like bam darn where did that come from, and I must emphasize that he holds no connection to me in the story whatsover (that would be too weird, even for me), but yes, RGB- my most famous and loved original character- was created as a direct result of analyzing and portraying my own deepest insecurities.

Firstly, thank you so much! I’m very glad, and secondly- good! As with RGB’s ridiculously over the top BBC English accent, Dial’s accent is an exaggeration. It’s supposed to be a hash of a typical Southern States American accent, but it’s so blown out of proportion there’s no way of telling where it’s from. Nobody in real life would ever talk like either of them.
