“Treasure Planet” 2002

One of my favorite lines from the film.

Re-posting some of my favorites all month.

(via animationtidbits)

Oh and while we’re at it, here’s a lipsync exercise we did using Noodles (basically putting this up because it’s better than the other one ahahahaha ah haa… ha).

Character, background and audio file provided by VFS.

I mentioned this animation exercise that I did at VFS in the stream and yeah okay here you go :)

The character, Noodles, and the background were provided by the school. The task was to animate him notice the bulb is dead, change it, then leave the room when someone calls him on the speaker. We didn’t get given the soundclip in the end so that’s why he falls off the chair ahahaha yep 8T

Because I feel like a stinker for pulling the plug on M.O.D. so HERE HAVE SOME STUFF.

Also animation progress videos are kind of handy for portfolios I guess.

( ahahaha helps if I put the link to the movie down- https://vimeo.com/34817753 )

“Fantasia”, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” 1940

This is an alternate shot to the one eventually used in the piece. In the final film, you see Mickey attack the broom only through the shadows he casts on the wall.

Well this is interesting.

wow okay that’s a lot of requests for a gif very quickly 8T

Decided to animate RGB booking it around a corner

because you know

like I don’t spoiler you guys enough already.

I just remembered I did this little animation of Oswald and Mickey as an April Fools while I was at VFS.

Hahahaha yeah wat.

“One Hundred and One Dalmatians” (1961)

I added these two tests into the scene from the film they originated.

Both animated by Milt Kahl.

Man, was this guy ever an influence on me.

… well, I was talking about Milt, but now that I think about it, Roger too. Pretty much always my favourite human character out of any Disney film.

My Piano teacher was actually called Roger and looked the spitting image of him too :T
