Sometimes writing is like having an enormous lake in your head, and you want to get it out of your head and into a proper place for a lake so other people can come and go swimming and ride jet skis and stuff, except all you have to move the lake is a teaspoon. So you’re just sitting there frantically flinging water out of the lake with your teaspoon and telling people, “Guys, this lake is going to be so cool when it’s done,” but it will never be done. There is so much lake.

I’m not a big knickknack person. I like to keep my home sparse in the “tiny objects” departament. But I must admit I really do
dig these Hieronymus Bosch figurines. They’re kinda cool-looking in
their own obviously weird way. I especially like the ones from Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights.
The original character designs for Disney’s Rapunzel Unbraided by Jin Kim (Part 8).
The idea for Tangled (Rapunzel Unbraided) was originally the concept for Disney’s Enchanted, a live-action film that light-heatedly mocked the princess film archetypes. The main male lead was even modeled after Jack Black.
However, Enchanted became separate from Rapunzel and instead took ideas from previous films like Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty.
Rapunzel was then put back into development and turned into a traditional (albeit 3D) Feature Length film.
I still want Jack Black to be a Disney Prince someday.
