needed to draw my boy in his grandpa-goes-fishin’ outfit but real talk he would be so damned useful on a survival course hot damn
people asking how I do the blob/sketch thing- honestly a lot of them time I go straight in with the blobs to form the masses and line of action, but sometimes like with this doodle comic I need a rough guide for the composition or very particular face angles/expressions. I turn the sketch riiiight down though so I can only just see it, because I want the picture to be pretty much organically fed by the tones and forms I’m using rather than a set of predetermined lines
hey haha remember that one headcanon about Gladstone liking to travel a lot bc it means he meets people who don’t know who he is so they don’t judge him or try to use him right away? 8′)
ye. anyway I was noodling and I guess imagining if someone had a set of gouache paints on a river cruise and was using it to sketch passengers
sorry for lull in posts/chirpiness in general there’s a lot going on behind the scenes here (but there is movement on the RGB enamel pin business so that’s cool- still no idea when it’ll be done but we’re doing our best!). Anyway, doodle comic is WIP but I’ve got the gist of it very loosely sketched and I’m gonna have a crack at doing it in this blob/scribble technique I’ve been noodling about with lately. Wish me luck!
