just a quick LH practice- when I was taking my foundation year art I wrote my disertation on Hergé. Having a history of terrible dreams myself I remember being very moved when finding out about how Tintin in Tibet, one of my favourites, was written during and influenced by a very distressing time in Hergé’s life which involved a series of recurrent nightmares;
“-At a particular moment, in an immaculately white alcove, a white
skeleton appeared that tried to catch me. And then instantly everything
around me became white.“
warm up doodle from this morning
idk about you guys but the Shooting Star hecked me up when I first read it
Someone asked me who my first OC was and gosh darn if I can’t remember? This is one of my very earliest characters though so this is as much as I can do.
This is Darling the Starling, or ‘Daring Darling’ to her foes, yarr. I remember being distinctly put out that all my favourite sword fighting heroes were men so naturally I made up my own sword-swinging adventurer who wore cool boots and a fancy hat. I was really into the Three Musketeers and the Carl Barks comics when I came up with Darling, and ten year old me was super proud of her- and you know what? I’m pretty proud of her now.
me and a friend were joking on skype about if TPoH was a Shoujo instead of a technicolour nightmare and then this monstrosity happened goodbyE
well I sure didn’t have the time to draw this but apparently that didn’t stop me
