God everything I’ve been posting lately is crap
oh look new followers that’s neat

well let’s have a look who

is

Did you know that Arthur was originally designed for 3D?
I came up with the idea for SKIP at VFS after one of my character design homework assignments got out of hand; we had to design three characters for a 3D movie, but because my characters always boss me around I ended up writing the entire film. I liked the main two so much that I ended up adapting the idea into the 3 minutes short as my final film.
I still want to make the full feature some day.
I don’t think you understand how much I want these guys to pair up in a fight come on Oda we want combo attacks.
Also details because I had fun.
Finished the drawing, now I just have to figure out what to do with the bugger.
Ah well, lunch first.
I am constantly amazed at how my desire to ship can always overcome my propensity to avoid drawing girls, boobs and long hair.

-and this is the second character of Pitch, although I suppose he’s almost the main character… well, they both are. Not quite sure how to colour him but it’ll be likely be quite different from the human characters.
Initially I wanted to make a character that was completely black, like Oswald and Mickey, and then ‘Pitch’ could have been his name too. This little guy just didn’t work out like that, however, and I’m not going to argue with him.
So the film I’m working on is going to be called ‘Pitch’ (maybe, titles tend to change in my experience).
I’ve been doing some boarding this morning and trying to figure out how to make it look how it looks in my head. I’ll be animating paperlessly in ToonBoom, so it’s a bit trickier than working in pencil then scanning it in. Anyway, the main character is getting there and I think this might be how it’ll look, sort of, if I can punch the brushes in the face enough.
He doesn’t have a name but I’m not sure he actually needs one in this case.
