GUYS LOOK AT THIS UNEARTHED PIECE OF ANCIENT HISTORY HERE
so my mother was sorting out things in her room today and came across this MAGNUM OPUS of my childhood, and I’ve known before now that I used to draw lots of suns in my skies and use lots of yellow because goddamnit happy yellow suns are hella, but read the goshdarn note my mum wrote on the back;
“Fri 13.9.91 When Sarah had a day off nursery because of a temperature and tiredness. What a wonderful dood she is (my parents’ nickname for me was Dood omgthisissocutehelpme). All her own 3 ½ work.

HECK YEAH I’VE BEEN A MARY POPPINS APPRECIATOR MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT my three and a half year old self told her that all those years ago and oh my gosh maybe they would be proud of me cosplaying her at the Expo in May at the grand old age of 25 the circle is complete I am content with my existence I am at one with the Poppinsverse

sometimes I do studies of actual things in the actual world around me and I’m like damn I could make some really philosophical observation about this chair that I’ve lived with for years but I’ve never drawn and never noticed how the seams work or looked at the creases or how the fabric faded on that one side and isn’t it weird how we think we know these objects when in actuality we don’t know them at all and what amazingly little time we spend really observing and appreciating the world that makes up our reality-
but instead I just
someone wanted a comparison of sketch to lineart so;
I don’t use anything fancy; just the solid round brush with shape dynamics on for the pressure sensitivity; the main thing I try and focus on is preserving the energy that was in the sketch as much as possible, there’s always some degree of loss but that’s just the nature of cleanup, alas \(.__.)/
