the exception that I would 1000% go for would be maybe one of those badass animated trailers like the French folk do to advertise their graphic novels because, you know, France is fucking amazing like that I mean like dang can’t we do that too I would love that

a) pretty sure that’s not the point or a cool way of thinking
b) a law to do with something as big as copyright passed in America will doubtless affect the rest of the online community worldwide not least because of the monkey-see-monkey-do effect of ‘oh well THEY passed a law about it and got away with it so we can do that too’
