yesterday I was watching “singing in the rain” as homework for university, and when I reach to the last song I couldn’t help but think of Gladstone singing it to Magica!

and I mean, tell me you don’t see the similarities here (left, an early Gladstone by Carl Barks, right, young Scrooge by Don Rosa)
the main difference is that while most of the time Scrooge’s reaction to this sort of envy is that of aggressive defiance and throwing a fit, Gladstone’s is either aloof disinterest, rubbing it in their faces or just… being sad about it :’(

As much as I love this new series and their designs…Gladstone’s is not one of them. It’s weird…So I decided to do a mixture of the show and @modmad‘s style because (and I’m sure you hear this A LOT modmad) I love her Gladstone style. It’s…really good. And that’s all I’m gonna say even though I could go on because I will get really awkward about it…

I had the idea of this comic when I asked for some Magicstone suggestion and @teh-bluejay said to draw them on a park bench.
While drawing I start ti think why they were there, and so this comic came up.
so my life of bizarro coincidence, goofing up and good luck continues beyond all comprehension; I was so excited that I finally caught the Royal Horse that I accidentally released Gladstone to register it! I realised afterwards and was so upset at myself, but then? I went to the place I caught him? and there was a horse with the exact same colours. So I got him back! Somehow?!
His stats are totally different but a) I think they suit his character better and b) I choose to believe it is the Same Horse Shut Up he just had an adventure on the way home that maxed out his strength and stamina, and anyway now I feel a lot safer using him in the game because he doesn’t only have two stars in strength which I learned is HP??? and horses can DIE that is so brutal Nintendo why are you like this I love it
so, maybe this is the luckiest horse in Hyrule? also the fancy gear is absolutely what Gladstone would wear as a horse look at that European comics colour scheme
