WHOOP I jumped onto this hype train and made my own gemsona, Morganite!~
I’ll add a reference sheet later, but here I drew her meeting a few other gems.
She’d be introduced to video games through lyra-33-vega‘s gemsona Obsidian. She’d also think genchiart‘s Larimar would look really cool and kinda watch him fight ‘cause goodness knows she wouldn’t be able to. Also threw in modmad‘s Tourmaline cause she can turn pink and blue and Morganite’d very much adore that. What are you doing Morganite, you’re scaring her. Shoo.

The Blood Ruby happened eventually, but the ladies had to get to know each other first (◡‿◡✿) Bloodstone belongs to the wonderful ModMad and this particular Ruby belongs to me :)

Personality: Larimar has a genuine (and overpowering) sense of self-confidence, in herself and in everybody she meets. She is forever an optimist, though that might be because her gleeful stubbornness means she can’t accept any kind of bad outcome. She’s very physically aggressive towards pretty much everything, but never means anybody any harm. She’s not very good with personal space, either.

The Gemsona Week blog IS UP!! and ready for gemsona submissions! PLEASE BOOST THIS POST & GET INVOLVED! This is going to be a lot of fun.
Gemsona Week is April 11th-18th, a whole week of celebrating the amazing animated television series Steven Universe!
There will be prompt challenges for writers and artists, as well as the Gemsona Fusion Project- artists submit their gemsona to the blog and are randomly paired together to create a totally new fusion character with their partner’s character! Please read the project overview and guidelines before submitting.
Gemsona submissions for the project are due April 4th!
I’ll be posting more information and updates in the #gemsona week and #gemfusion project tags, so track those if you like! And of course when April 11th rolls around, please use the #gemsona week tag in your posts, challenges or not, so I can reblog them & share.
