This is the longest answer I ever did. Here’s the trash I promised to you last week. As always, I started to hate it in the middle of the making. Forgive my horrible handwriting, my horrible grammar, and the horrible quality. The original was a lot more colorful. Meh. I always think about how Don and the boys feel about Della, but how does Scrooge feel? After all, he’s kinda the one who everyone’s blaming. Guys, this looked so much better in my head and I hate it. I need more practice.
Sooooooo…….I’m really sorry @modmad. I actually read your ask wrong. Oops. So yup. Anyway, I imagined them playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf together because that’s a super chill game.
As for what you actually said. OH MY GOSH!! I wish I read that right because that would be 100% more adorable!! Thank you so much for the ask btw. I REALLY like Louie and Gladstone interaction and I don’t get the chance to draw them together often.
OH NO THIS IS CUTE AAA also I didn’t expect you to draw anything asjhajkshgkjsn aaaaa also I miss playing ACNL after my game glitched out of existence so this makes me doubly happy
in retrospect I really did not have the time to do this OH WELL
(kinda makes more sense if you’ve read the other two weird kinda alt Ducktales with Shadow Magica hijinks comics I did first; this one here and this one here!)
(yes I’m aware this is probably going to age badly when what the Actual is happening with Magica is explained in the show but WHATEVER)
Anonymous asked: I just worked my way through all your doodle comics and my god, I know it's like a short one but that 'eavesdropping' one really hit me in the face with how similar Gladstone and Scrooge are in terms of people resenting them for their luck/money so thanks for that I'd never realised it before!
I KNOW RIGHT it’s like, once you see it you really can’t unsee it
in comparison to scenes like this from the Life and Times (reads left to right)
and I mean, tell me you don’t see the similarities here (left, an early Gladstone by Carl Barks, right, young Scrooge by Don Rosa)
the main difference is that while most of the time Scrooge’s reaction to this sort of envy is that of aggressive defiance and throwing a fit, Gladstone’s is either aloof disinterest, rubbing it in their faces or just… being sad about it :’(
