well okay or I could do this instead of starting actual work this morning- just an alternate take on the new Gladstone design! done kinda quick but I had fun (colours of last two are based off the old comics and the modern comics)

in all absolute honesty I do… feel the same, like they just missed the mark of what the essence of Gladstone’s look is- taking a new angle and using a new style is awesome, no problems with that at all! but especially that second anon there you kinda hit the nail on the head with the key features business, but it is very early days and we haven’t seen him in motion yet! perhaps the design will work better/we’ll get more used to it during the actual show? that said I have been itching to have a try at tweaking it… maybe I’ll try later
warm up sketch- kinda wanted to imply an artist sitting in the Blackjack Ballroom catching this gal being momentarily out of her showtime character and sketching it

it’s so tempting to make theories, right? well, I’m trying not to have too many expectations but on the basis of what we’ve seen, that hint they dropped about the kids representing different aspects of Scrooge’s personality, and the fact that we’ll need a solid positive/negative for each one for depth I’m guessing:
Huey = book smart macgyver / a crybaby? or too obsessed with info?
