Sam: with that goofy voice of his like ‘Say! Hi there! I thought maybe you weren’t coming back but you did and gee whizz that’s just handy dandy super duper isn’t it hello isn’t hello a good word to say I think it is hello hello hi there hello!’

So I may have just realized that I really want a Mary Poppins cartoon to be a thing
So I have a sketching buddy and sometimes we give each other a prompt for doodling exchanges. This one was ‘two sides of the same thing’.
Someone asked me how I get my lines to behave in photoshop and while a lot of it is just practice I have to credit the fact that immediate practice, aka warming up, is big part of the process for me. Basically I take any old sketches I have kicking about in my computer and do some practice linework on them before I set to working on the piece I’m actually going to do; it’s just like limbering up, basically, but then I end up with these unfortunate Frankenstein-like hybrids of scribble and linework that nobody ever sees because they’re hella ugly. So yeah have some YesMary from this week as an example.
Also Fred is scared of being submerged in water WHAT A SURPRISE I hope this gets cuter than it already is dohoho.

Just a random sketch of Hero and the new what-the-hell-is-that-thing being cute don’t mind me.
So today’s warmup sketches included some Lutece doodles so here you go. Robert is pretending to be a chauffeur because I would have loved Booker and Elizabeth to get into the back of a vehicle of some sort and then have one of them turn around from the driver’s seat come on that would have been hysterical.
Also you cannot seriously tell me that Rosalind never has trouble pinning up that hair.
Oops haven’t been keeping my Daily OCs very daily but this guy was part of my warm up so yes there’s that.
I always wondered why there were no cartoons with a turkey as the villain. I mean, there’s so much to work with there for design and they are mean as shit. Also everything needs a Fez I defy you to tell me otherwise.
Used Rosalind for yesterday’s warmup so Robert’s turn today.
I actually have way more trouble drawing Robert than Rosalind, which is kind of unusual for me since I generally stink at drawing women hahaha… yeah.
