Three in one to make up for missing a couple of Daily OC posts
Tic, Tac and Toe are a group of shoe elves. Toe is the brains, Tic is the muscle and Tac is the one who keeps them both chill.
They work at night to fix the shoes that the elderly cobbler hasn’t been able to do because of his poor eyesight so that the shop stays open and they have someplace to live. Really I see this as a stop motion kind of thing so maybe I’ll try making models if I come across some plasticine.
Daily OC number whatever man this week was terrible sorry I’ll try to get back to this.
Female porcupine pirates. You know it makes sense.
She’s called Calette and took over from the famed pirate Gold Pin Salverre after she accidentally pushed him into a volcano and then found out he was actually an okay dude. You know. Afterwards.
Yeah well how was she supposed to know jeez.
There once was a bird, and a grand bird was he
all covered with plumes of pink,
and all round the town his footsteps were found
some in lead and some of them ink.
For this grand little bird, oh this fine young chap
had feet of a different kind;
for one was a pencil, which never would snap
and the other a pen most refined.
Through the day and the night he would write and would write
all manner of things where he strode:
sometimes long, sometimes short, or excessively trite
on pavements and walls and on roads.
The people cried out ‘what a terrible lout!
to scrawl on our chimneys and buildings!’
But for all that those people did holler and shout
and threw at him shoes and chased him about
only more and more words from the pen did spill out
and the pencil and plumes, for all they were stout
said and did more and held so much more clout
than the people around who were always without
the feet of a different kind.
Daily OC 003
I went for the inventing a character based on a colour route again.
This is clog. He’s a dog… who is… also a clog. With a sock for a collar. Yeah. You get it.
Sitting posture inspired by the weird way our whippet sometimes sits with her feet sideways to the floor.
Daily OC 002
This is Clovis. She’s a kookaburra who lives in Wales. She is convinced that she is a nightjar.
I think I’m going to start doing a thing where I design a new character every day.
When I played with my toys the stories were always very epic and involved and were quite often about murders (the villain was usually the sole Barbie we owned). These two are a pair of crime busting buddies; Lucy is the brains and brawn, Thomas is the tact. Thomas is also very very glad that gun is welded to his back, partly because he hates violence, but mostly because Lucy would be using it every five minutes if it wasn’t. Not that she hasn’t tried.
