• The title screen, which is around a minute long, is constantly flashing
• The end scene, which is around 10 minutes, is also filled with flashing, almost without a pause
• There are several instances of flashing during the movie as well, either because of the animation style or because the of the plot (sometimes both)
• But just like in incredibles 2, the plot relies heavily on flashing and there’s a LOT more than in incredibles

PLEASE be careful because there is a LOT of flashing lights in this movie (and no warning)

Dude I love this? I have a headcanon that although Gus is sleepy and lazy most of the time, he’s actually strong as heck? He has to be, taking care of huge cows and horses and steering them. He’s extremely loyal to Grandma and the farm and wouldn’t stand by if they were in danger.

And then you have Gladstone. If he were a little more proactive and a little more resentful, he’d be a walking terror. Combine a finally-boiled-over rage with his kind of luck and some very nasty things will happen. The closest thing I can compare it to is Carrie’s finale. Only Gladstone wouldn’t have a speck of dirt on him but the world around him would be ablaze.

I was blessed with a very good set of parents who recorded almost every strange piece of animation they saw on television, and especially things like Channel 4 doing occasional animation appreciation weeks featuring work from specific countries, which resulted in me being allowed to see quite a few Russian cartoons as well as Swedish, French and German! Having said that I only had the episodes that we had recorded so while me and my sister would watch those on loop we never really got to see all of any one of the series.

TPoH: website update!

Heyo! SO the home TPoH website is up again, but only because my beautiful, lovely and generous website host pal has given me every last shred of spare bandwidth he has; hopefully this will last until the end of the month, but please maybe go easy on visiting the site as if it goes down again that’ll be it for a while!

Since that’s such a crap thing to say I am going to work as hard as I can to get all of TPoH up onto Tapastic here, and if you think it’d be worthwhile I may put my other comics (the square tales and TPatJ) up there as well.
