Apparently most of the judges didn’t even bother watching all of the movies on the list, and the few that didn’t abstain from voting only saw/chose Frozen. Cartoon Brew’s got an article up now about it.

see I’m all kinds of happy for Ellen and that stuff going down but this is why animators never take the Oscars seriously
