sorry it took a while to get around to replying, but this is like, a big question? and I have trouble answering it for myself, but, I guess one thing is to find rocks to hold onto- those can be people, places, cartoons, comics, that one song you really like played 50 times back to back. Find something solid that you know and can hang on to and appreciate inside and out. Getting your sense of hope back is hard, but if you find these solid joyous things then you can work to back that sense that there are things worth fighting for- if to do so you have to cling to it and smush your face all up against it, that’s cool. It doesn’t matter how silly, obscure, weird or completely unrelated to the chaos of the world it is; if it matters, that’s power. Allow yourself to find the atoms of joy in the things you know to be good and give yourself time to think about and explore them, because spending time looking through something leads to better understanding and perspective. This doesn’t mean you’re removing yourself from the big picture, it means you recalibrating what that means. Heck the last time I was like this I went on a mass vine-watching spree, and it worked, because honestly I think joy is the best bringer of hope I know. Anyway, love you anon I think we’re all kind of in this situation together right now, but good luck and maybe we can all get through this one hand-hold at a time.

Getting better, I think? but it’s kinda slow; I did try not to use them for anything resembling drawing for the first half of the week, but I’ve been having a little go at the doodle comic to break myself back in when they’ve been feeling up to it. me too buddy, it’s really thrown out my plans for drawing stuff- as for the question, yes! It depends on the artist as to how much it differs but Gladstone generally has a straighter and sharper beak than the others in the duck family;
He even gets called ‘chisel-beak’ or ‘chisel-features’ in a couple of stories, which I assume is a pun on the literal shape of his beak along with a ‘chiseller’ being a cheat or swindler. These are pretty exaggerated but on the whole it’s usually fairly subtle-
Daisy, Donald and Scrooge all have much the same, round-ish type of beak, but there’s also some variety in other family members’ beaks, like Gus Goose here has a very different beak type, and cousin Fethry has the pointiest one of all of them!

but thank you my dude my pal my friend o’ mine I have been a bit stressed and tired lately but really I wouldn’t imagine more so than everyone else- all things considered. My hands are a bit janked up at the moment so I will be slow on extras, and I’m visiting my sister next week so there might be another week without TPoH coming up (sorry) so I guess I feel bad about that? But knowing how patient and kind you all are makes things so much easier and I will try to recover so I can bring myself back up to speed. Thanks buddy.
