aw anon I’m sorry to hear that, and a part of me does relate- if it’s hurting you to watch it, perhaps it is best to just say ‘this isn’t for me’ and stop, which is okay! as for the request, a) you’re right I don’t really take them but also b) I actually really like the new designs for them, but as I’ve said before I see these as two completely different characters. They are not the Gyro and Glomgold from the comics, either visually or in terms of personality, so I don’t really feel moved to make them look like it. Also I already feel kinda bad for making an alternate Gladstone design in case people from the show take offence, but really that was just a personal fun/vent project thing- I don’t really want to get known as the go-to person for redesigning Ducktales characters!
Maybe one day I’ll try ‘Ducktales-ifying’ the comic versions for fun, like- try drawing the originals in the new form/line style, but I kind of need to want to do it for fun for that to happen!

jfhasdnk I’ll take that as a compliment but no anon don’t be angery, my hands and health are too unreliable for me to work full time for them- also again I’m always happy for folks to share my work/promo it but please be kind to the DT staff they work very hard and often aren’t in charge of or able to change things like release dates or designs (having worked in animation myself I can attest to how long it can take to exact the smallest change it’s ridiculous how many hoops you have to jump through to okay alterations)

oh gosh, I’m really glad you like Justin, I love him too and I tried very hard to make him a strong, funny and interesting character! As someone who doesn’t really identify with any gender/mind what pronouns people use for me I’ve always found the trans community and culture to be very exciting and interesting, and the friends I’ve made within it are the bravest and kindest people I know. They’ve constantly helped me to understand them and the world they create and live in, and while I know I will never be able to see things on their exact level of experience and that I still have lots to learn, I hope I can continue to create good content with and for them, and you! I’m so proud of you, and I hope you have a great Day of Visibility!
(As for my own headcanons, I know I don’t talk about them too much but… listen, all I’m saying is Gyro is only ever referred to as a chicken, never as a rooster;)

aw shucks thank you anon! I love her for all of those reasons and I am really happy if you think I’m doing her credit :’D the comics created her to be just those things and I swear she’s such a role model for all she’s a sneaky sorceress (what am I saying that’s one of the reasons she IS a role model)

I think I addressed this a while back but I might as well restate that- much as I love me some fluffy duck pairings, I’m really not in it for the ships! I draw a lot of my otp because it’s like, ultimate self indulgent stress relief for me, but in terms of priorities/interest in reading the comics or watching the series I don’t really go in for that stuff, and nothing makes me happier than the exploration of platonic love and the many varied relationships and stories that result from that in the comics. As a consequence, I don’t really have any notps! I do particularly love Magicstone, JosePan (or is it PanJose?), and whatever you call ScroogexGoldie, but I think all the ships are pretty damned adorable! They’re all such well-rounded, interesting characters how could I not enjoy interactions between them? the key thing for me is personality and how well a couple bounce off each other emotionally- if it’s positive, funny, and complex then I’m down! if it has a touch of melancholy on top of that then I’m 100% doomed :’D that said, hypocritical as it sounds my default is no ships at all!
