So I noticed my Wheatley rough animation makin’ the rounds again (gawrsh you guys are the best <3) and it made me realize that I had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN that I’m working on another one! ;D; I’m back to working on it again though and it is slowly but surely getting done. But because I am an idiot and actually forgot about this project I’ve spent so much time on, I think you guys deserve a sneak preview?? Okay sure, that makes sense. This short was a test for the later feature length film Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. According to Wikipedia, at least three pilot films were made before the actual feature film. This appears to be the first, back when Studio Ghibli was more heavily involved on the project
Holy shit.
I will never get over how good the animation in this is. I mean, wow. The Nemo film is just as visually stunning, but the hacked voice over and severe story and pacing problems still irk me. They had a lot of problems when making it so I understand why it happened, but it still knocks it down the awesome-ometer a few pegs.
This, on the other hand, is just perfection. Cohesive, fluid, succinct. Do yourself a favour and press play.

Oh my god this is so stiff and uefhajsaj mistakes but WHATEVER and like hell I’m adding colour I am done with this.
I just wanted to try out animating in photoshop- turns out lip sync is NOT the best choice but hey it’s possible. Also this doubles as backup for people who ask me what I think RGB’s voice sounds like.

Combined effort of my right and left hands. I’ve been coming up with this idea for a short animation over the past few days about an animator and his character. I still can’t pin down what the guy looks like but this is more about the feel of it (plus I can’t freaking draw).
