“I am a big lover of Mexican folk art and the reason I love it is because it’s very accessible art. I consider it art by the people for the people, but it’s also is a mirror of who we are. The film takes place post Mexican revolution, it was a hard time. The bad guys in the movie are made out of metal. The idea is that when they went to the army they put metal on themselves but never took it off, and they don’t have any guns because they’re the weapons themselves. Mod is always seen with a cup of tea, no matter how odd the circumstances, and each time Layton and Luke come across them they’re wearing something different too. Refusing to give a name beyond “Mod”, once their first puzzle is completed they give out the comic minigame. The minigame consists of finding the hidden meanings in each newly updated page. The dapper gentleman and his child companion that star in the comic seem somewhat familiar to Luke, but he’s not sure why.

De hecho, ella tiene una gran colección de ellos. Mi headcanon es que ella tiene una puerta secreta bajo la casa de pintura que es un portal que lleva a un jardín de cristales.

More mediocre art! Bjork’s song Crystalline reminded me of her. And with all the things happening with Magnus I wanted to draw something like this. Madrasojo enjoys crystals. In fact she has a large collection of them. My headcanon is that there is a door under the house of paint that is a portal that leads to a garden of crystals.
