I KIND OF HEADCANON IT NOW TBH but I also now have to like. figure out where and how they could meet bc I still feel like Jose and Donald only meet much later like in the cartoons they’re both their regular lookin’ selves? maybe a few years earlier than the ‘comic dad Donald’ age (bc in The Three Caballeros Ride Again it’s a reunion after a few years of being apart and the kids don’t know about them/haven’t met them before)… so like yeah now I have this ‘did Gladstone meet and know Jose way before Donald ever did’ angle to potentially work with which is hilarious in itself. Also I’m 100% on the theory that Gladstone did and does travel a huge lot so it’s plausible that he met Jose in Brazil on a trip which makes them meeting up on home turf EVEN WEIRDER and look there’s. there’s a lot to play with here
