Muppet Fairy Tales by David Petersen
The mind and pen behind Mouse Guard, David also dabbles in occasional Muppet re-imaginings of classic fairy tales and Arthurian legends. Muppets lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

There was actually a double meaning in the song. The song is in the key of Db Major (just like winter wrap up!) . That means that the root chord is a Db major chord. Usually, a Ab major chord will lead into a Db major. This is the V-I chord progression and it is also known as the Authentic Cadence (stick with me here). Now, it seems to resolve to a sadder chord at the end of the phrase. Instead of ending on Db major around 1:16, it lands on Bb minor: the relative minor of Db major. Now, when a chord progression seems to be heading to the root chord but lands on the relative minor instead, that is called a…

Deceptive Cadence
Also worth noting, listen to how Twilight sings the last “forever” in the song. Her little cadenza (I am seriously not making these words up) quotes the opening notes of the theme song

This piece of motion graphics takes us through the many variations of a sphere. It’s a very simple setting, just about as simple as you can get which then evolves into all these different scenarios and interesting manipulations of this particular form. If it were to tie in with any of my three chosen words (Nostalgia, Descent, Flow) it would be flow because of how fluidly each variation of the sphere shifts from one to another.
I’ve already thought up the content of my animation, but it’s more the style I’m interested in when it comes to any research material I come across at this point because I’m not sure how exactly I want it to look yet. Even the medium I use is still subject to change.

So…I produced this!
Making this music video was one of the best times I’ve had in a very long time. We were so blessed with an incredible crew who worked so, so hard. I can’t thank them enough!
PS, if you like Dr. Strangelove, this should be right up your alley.
