I’m actually quite glad someone made me bring up this part of Arthur’s character, because it goes a long way to explaining why one of his first interactions with Mesi is such a complete car crash.

Okay so this got really depressing really fast.
I remember reading that the ‘bots helped out during the first world war rescuing people from the mustard gas, and I was thinking “hey that’s smart, you know, what with robots not being affected by gas and all, they wouldn’t even be able to smell it…”
and then my brain did what it always does and turned it into something horrifyingly tragic.
