Just a quick doodle between other things.
I reckon that, as with the Jon and Pinocchio, the Spine has a slightly morbid obsession with the Wizard of Oz and the concept of the tin woodsman. The Tin Man was cursed to chop himself into nothing and be replaced by tin limb by limb, eventually losing his heart and the ability to love with it. The Spine was originally created from metal and has never had a ‘real’ heart to lose, yet he is able to have feelings towards humans.

I’ve only ever read the book oh man I am so hunting that down okay cool. So, uh, no I haven’t, but I know the story and love it very dearly?
Question 2)
Strange and awesome and confusing and just a little bit frightening. Normally I would dismiss the idea that I could do such a thing but with you guys already being here there’s nothing I can do about it.
