sorry for having like, nothing to post this week but I am working like crazy on TPoH and this doodle comic- here’s some WIP screenshots of the none spoiler variety to keep you going (p.s. there’s so many characters in this story there’s like a bazillion crowd shots oh my god help me)

you’re twisting my arm here (and you’re right it’s going to be Long While before it’s finished), but I don’t want to spoil things, so I’ll just give two little samples of Carl Barks which have fed into its inspiration: one, the shading and overall vibe of this panel of Only a Poor Old Man -
And this line of Gladstone’s in A Christmas for Shacktown (he also says it in a couple of other stories like A Financial Fable)

I stg I am working as much as I can on this doodle comic but it’s still nowhere near finished ;__; anyway here’s the most oscar Wilde-esque Gladstone I’ve drawn yet to tide you over
sneak preview! slowly picking up doodle comics again, also I know it’s like a running joke by now that the doodle comic with the cat is never gonna happen but I’ve dropped doing that one (for now) in favour of this story because the cat one has a billion bg characters and environments whereas the setting for this is like… a big empty lake. with a boat. which is an awful lot easier.
so yeah it’s gonna be a hot while ‘til I finish it while don’t wait up but thought it’d be nice to at least give you a head’s up :’D
eyy so my hands are starting to heal, and if I’m feeling plucky I’ll try doing some light sketching tomorrow. TPoH is still definitely not gonna be done by Sunday so sorry about that, hopefully next week it’ll be alright? Anyway here’s some spoiler free WIP shots of three of the doodle comics I was working on before I crashed and which will probably be done in the same order as these pics :D

aw thank you, and love right back to you and Finland! I am working on another right now- I would have been finished sooner but my right hand kind of bit it for a while there, but if I’m lucky I’ll have it done sometime next week. Here’s a little taster for now, and thanks for being patient!

well mostly it goes like this; base sketch
text and panels/ big bg’s if there are any
sketch and speech bubbles
finishing touches/ less vital bg stuff
and that’s about it! I do proper walkthroughs on my processes over on my Patreon if you like this kinda thing!
