RGB is basically an evasive bugger and bad at admitting things, so it’s mostly that he just doesn’t want to, although a lot of the time he does that is because it would be ‘tactically inadvisable’ to tell the truth from his standpoint.
Hee, I was hoping that might confuse people. In actuality the change is simpler than you might think, and will be explained eventually.
As regards the grayscale comment, however, it’s true that he is very different in that state.

Actually I’d never thought of that! The butterfly is certainly supposed to resemble an old fashioned, friendly, advice-giving sort of person, however, and now that you point it out I can see that, yes!
Preserving this sketch of Hero because I know no matter what I do with the lineart it won’t be the same because due to science the sketch will always look better.

Don’t you love it when you wake up at 4am and spend the rest of the morning going over scenes in your comic that you won’t get to draw for about another year instead of sleeping?
Nope! Madras is the creation and property of my good buddy Nate, who is an absolute darling and let me use her in the comic. I’m afraid I can’t remember the ins and outs of how she was designed but it was around the same time I started drawing RGB, and the two were otp from the off. So, there’s your answer!

Have you ever heard of the webcomic The Property of Hate? Well, if you haven’t, you should go and get yourself acquainted with it right now- basically, it’s about a little girl who goes on a journey with a strange man by the name of RGB who also happens to have a TV as a head and the swaggest style anyone has ever seen. It’s surreal, it’s touching, it’s beautiful, and it’s a little bit creepy, and overall it’s simply marvelous.
I discovered the webcomic after seeing that a tumblr user by the name of modmad had reblogged my Ib comic a while ago, and I discovered her webcomic and just sort of fell in love within like, one day, lmao. So, deciding to show my appreciation for the fact that such an amazing artist put my comic out in the tumblr world and also show my adoration of the comic, I decided to draw Ib and Garry The Property of Hate style. AND GOD IS THAT STYLE HARD because drawing a character akin to RGB requires a lot of thinking as to how to make things work out, but I hope I pulled it off! (I included the eye because I don’t think it would emote well without it - it is similar to how RGB’s TV screen changes to look like a smile or frown depending on the situation.)
ANYWAYS ENOUGH OF THAT just wanted to try out a cool style from a webcomic you should all be reading right this second. And thanks once again to the wonderful modmad for showing love to my Ib comic, it was greatly appreciated. <3
