Page 5- just the one this time around. Going to be slow drawing the rest I’m afraid; I am actually in the middle of making a Flash film at school atm. I got off lucky this weekend because of the way lessons fell but it’s going to be pretty intense from now on. Still, no regrets, this is great fun and good practice.

what I want to know is how you made it so abundantly clear in panel six that he’s ‘quoting’ Foxglove. It’s either something in the body language you’ve given him or WITCHCRAFT.

Oh gad you have no idea how happy I am that you like it although I’m sure I keep misinterpreting things and taking liberties and aaa.
The thing with making Wheatley look like he’s ‘quoting’ Foxglove is an animation/psychology trick. When people are putting words into people’s mouths or pretending to act/speak like someone in an anecdotal and exaggerated way they tend to look up and to the centre; so it’s actually his being cross-eyed that conveys it. I seem to remember it being because you’re making speech up on the spot for some reason but I was never hot on neurology. Hand gestures help sell it too, of course, but I imagine watching Wheatley talk would be a bit like having a conversation with a windmill anyway XD
