PS. so I know there’s interest in doing something like this again. I’m planning on setting up a long-term TPoH-PMV next.
My plan is for it to start Jan 1st 2017 and it will be kind of a Free For All. (Allowing: people to submit multiple times/take multiple slots, imagery from AUs, imagery from Fanfictions, such like that.) The song I have in mind is 6 and a half minutes long and thus I expect this to be a long-term project. I’m currently developing guidelines and information for this next idea. Keep talking about it, keep being kind, keep being grateful for the wonderful show that this has been and will be hailed as for years to come.
The petition is here, and remember- even if we can’t get Disney to give us the third season this show deserves yet, demonstrating how much this show means to all of us and how much we disagree with their decision to cut it short only increases the chance that the future could hold something different. This cartoon has created wonderful memories for all of those who watched it, and deserves all the praise in the world for coming this far! Whatever happens, the world of animation has been forever improved by the existence of this show!
Disney, if you see this, remember what you are famous and beloved for- shows, films, and characters that speak to us and that show us the real magic that can happen if we cherish and encourage the best parts of ourselves- and then consider what message you send every time you prematurely end a show that upholds those principles.
Well, Gravity Falls is ending. I’m sad, but I 100% support the creators in their decision to conclude the show on their own terms.
Gravity Falls has been such a huge influence on me as an artist. Because of GF, I got excited about animated television, which I’d love to help make someday. I’m thankful for this show and everyone who contributed to it. And I’m grateful to this awesome fandom, especially those of you who followed me because of my GF art. YOU’RE THE BEST! *hugs*
So rest assured I’ll follow this fandom to the ends of the earth! I will continue to enjoy drawing things for you guys. <3
