i had this one comic growing up that involved gladstone trying really hard to impress scrooge, but of course, he doesnt (and quite literally cant) get anything by actually working for it, so scrooge didnt see value in anything his lucky nephew ever did.
anyway can you imagine how scrooge would react if he found out that one of his own nephews was actually dating one of his most dangerous adversaries??
It’s the overreaction in this panel that’s funny. I mean, Gladstone just stubbed his toe on the doorstep - something that happens to everybody a hundred times a week but he goes:
“Ow! What’s this?! What’s happened to my foot?! It hurts?! Owwww..owww-”
And Scrooge’s done reaction is basically telling him nothing’s happened te yer precious foot, ye just stubbed yer toe, ye basic baby.

I love Daisy too! You’re right, it can be a bit hit or miss with comics, but there are plenty where she’s a badass if you can find them. This is one I found only recently with her as a key character and I suspect it’s right up your street- Himalayan Hideout (D/D 2012-010)
