Oh for God’s sakes, take the two seconds to sign the damn thing. Every single one of you knows that if you didn’t have the same level of Internet access that you have right now, you would lose your mind. Think about how much time you spend on here. Think about what you do. You’ve gotten used to being able to communicate with people who are hundreds or thousands of miles away from you. You’ve gotten used to doing your coursework online and e-mailing your professors and applying for jobs and ordering food and arguing about Sailor Moon. You need to try and save it.
so what can you do to help, basically? well for one you can sign this petition congresswoman chellie pingree put out, which would stop the comcast/time warner cable companies from merging and basically stopping services like netflix and hulu, blocking certain sights and having a very very BAD effect on the internet + net neutrality.
you can also help by signal boosting this post and signing it also.
a very very good thing you can do that would benefit would to either call or email this man right here shown in the picture above, telling him to restore net neutrality. telling him to help make the internet for the people, and not for the companies to control.

Taiwanese President and the Government: Ensure there won’t be any violence against the protesters
The police turned violent after students occupied the Executive Yuan. Before they started beating these unarmed students, they asked the media to leave.
The protesters have been occupied the Congress for almost a week, asking Taiwanese government to send back a pact with China.With no positive answer from the President, some protesters stormed into the executive building in the evening of March 23, 2014. Jiang Yi-huah, President of the Executive Yuan, made an announcement requesting police power to evict these protesters (most of them are college kids). Based on the says from the witnesses, the police first ask the media to leave, and then attacked these students and protesters.
Apart from the riot, the neutrality of Taiwanese media has been questioned. Most of the news only reveal parts of the scenes, and removed the violence from the video.
The protesters are retiring to the Congress now.

Ubisoft is releasing an RPG game in 2014 called Child of Light, featuring a female protagonist. Like most games with female protagonists, it’s getting almost NO marketing and therefore no hype! Check it out, share it around. It looks really cute and I think we ALL want more video games with female protagonists to succeed!

Meet Lammily!
I haven’t seen this around tumblr just yet, so I wanted to put my own word out about it.
This is a fashion doll created by an illustrator that has been modeled to the standard proportions of the average 19 year old girl. She’s healthy, sporty, wears natural makeup, and GOSH DARNIT LOOK HOW POSABLE SHE’LL BE.
The project is technically fully funded now, but the more support and preorders it gets, the more influential it will be. My mom just got one for the sole purpose of keeping in the box, because best case scenario, these things become the next barbie and they’re worth big bucks later on; worst case scenario, she helped support an artist with a good cause.
Preorders aren’t outrageous at all. $25 for a first-edition doll that will NOT be sold in retail stores. Please spread the word and help get this doll known!
