checking your body to prevent cancer is not something I want to neglect
with (having two known family member dying in the same way)

Depsite having lovely and supporting family and boyfriend, I don’t
like being dependent on them. I know, most of the things lead to this situation are
happened above my control, but if it’s not necessary, I want to fix
this problem on my own. I just feel like this is my own
responsibility.
Hopefully things will get better, during October. but until then I still
need to support myself for two weeks.

AN OIL PIPELINE IS GOING TO POISON AN ENTIRE COMMUNITY:
A huge company is building an oil pipeline through the Missouri River. It’ll transport the dirtiest oil right through some of the cleanest water in the US. If there is a crack, leak, spill, any breakage, (which is super common) that oil will seep into the water and that water will become toxic.
The company that owns Sunoco just got their permit approved (btw Rick Perry is on their board of directors, in case that gives anyone else the fucking creeps). In response, a bunch of kids from Standing Rock Reservation physically ran across the country (1800 miles) in protest, carrying a petition w/ over 140,000 signatures, and met with the white house. NOW these kids, members of indigenous tribes around the nation, and their allies, are standing in front of massive equipment, using their bodies to stop construction and putting their lives on the line to protect this water.
WHY IT MATTERS:
When that water gets contaminated by oil, it will be poisoned, essentially deadly, within the hour. It’ll effect anyone in any community along the river or connecting rivers in North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois. More people than we can fathom will lose access to clean water, and it’ll happen quickly. These kids are fighting for our access to clean water, too.
What happened in Flint could have been avoided if we had known about it. This time we have a shot.

The Dakota Access Pipeline has been approved and all our drinking water is going to get poisoned.
It started with a 2,000 mile run from Standing Rock to the White House.
This has been nothing but a demonstration that is deeply rooted in peace and prayer. Yes people are angry. People are frustrated. People are tired. People are willing to put their lives on the line and get arrested for the protection of water and lives when this pipeline breaks.
Women, children, and elders are standing on the front lines. Songs and prayers have been shared continuously throughout the days. We have seen officers break down from emotions and remove themselves. That is the strength and power being lived out on the protest line.
Pine Ridge, Cheyenne Eagle Butte, Lower Brule, Crow Creek, spirit Lake supposed to be there. Many SWO, but no camp for them yet. Poncas from OK. 500 +. People from Oregon, Cali, Montana, saying they are on their way.
STANDING ROCK NEEDS A GOOD LAWYER, to counter sue on behalf of all protesters, all tribes, all native ppl, for everything just as frivolous, emotional distress, ptsd, pain & suffering. All protestors are getting sued by pipeline company!

The next step is for Post-Storyboard Artists (I’ll say… “PS-Artists”)
I have 7 storyboards from various artists.
You can sign up to be a PS-Artist and complete those storyboards in full color images and some images with transparencies (for ease of video editing). The official Sign Up will be up on Saturday July 30th. (I’m going to schedule-queue it for 10am EST.)
They are labeled as s3b, s6, s7c, s8, s10, s12a, and s12b (based off of the stanzas)

You can sign up by sending me an IM by Tumblr or by email. (I just need it to be time-stamped automatically on my end. I don’t think tumblr-replies are time-stamped so please refrain from those.)
Please tell me your first choice AND your second choice. (I’m just being cautious since some people may ask for the same storyboard at nearly the same time. If you don’t get your first choice I hope to give you your second choice asap.)
The deadline for Post-Storyboard Artists will be August 16 Tuesday. (And as always if you need more time extensions will be available.)

Enough Space for Everyone Elseis an anthology of sci-fi/space comics by diverse creators, about diverse characters, and spanning diverse tones and genres (specifically, no military, no imperialism, no war!).
We’re trying to fund it via Kickstarter (link here), and while we’ve gotten a lot of support so far, we are as of this writing less than halfway to our goal ($33,000) with only 11 days until the deadline (July 16). And reminder that the way Kickstarter works is, if you don’t get enough pledges to make your funding goal, you don’t get anything. So the existence of this book is literally relying on you.
This is crunch time.
All of the involved creators are independent artists and writers who, despite having talent out the wazoo, aren’t rich or famous, which can make it hard for us to get media attention. But this is a really fantastic project, and the work of all our contributors deserves to be published—so please, help make this book possible by pledging whatever you can afford and reblogging (not just liking!) this post.

There is a petition to try and call another referendum about the EU, with a rule asking for a 60% majority before a decision is made. Yes this is a shitty time, but hopefully there’s still a chance to fix things. The Leave campaign have already gone back on some of their promises before the referendum, so please, if you can, can you sign this? If we get 100 000 signatures parliament have to debate it, so please. Even if you’re not in the UK if you can share this to try and get it out there, that would be fantastic. Here’s the link:
