This film man, this film. Freaked the hell out of me as a child, and as I have yet to grow up in anything other than the vertical sense I can happily say it still does, in the very best of ways
Anyway, good music for roaming around big, lonely, desolate landscapes to.
I’ve actually been listening to this soundtrack a lot this week because I’m going to see it in the cinema with my buddy Sebastian in a few hours which is AWESOME because it’s one of my all time favourite films and I’ve never seen it on the big screen aaaa excited.
I had to fast forward the field of poppies bit. Scared the beejeebus out of me. XD But my scariest film had to be ‘Return to Oz’ - so good/terrifying! That and Pinocchio. The whale. THE FEAR OF WHAAALE ;_;
Oh my god, Return to Oz was and is one of my absolute favourite movies. It certainly scared me, but I don’t think it scared me in the same way as W.O.Oz; it was the good, honest to goodness ‘holy shit there’s an evil woman without a head and her cabinets full of decapitated heads are screaming at me’ kind of scared- the kind of scared that comes from your heart. The Wizard of Oz scared me because it just felt all wrong.
I don’t know if that makes any sense, but having your friends turned into objects to be eternally hoarded by the Goblin King is terrifying in one way, but having someone offer to dye your eyes to work with your outfit is another.
… Which sounds pathetic now because everyone has coloured contact lenses but that shit freaked me out okay.
Other people. Putting dye in your eyes. To match your outfit. No thanks.
