So as some of you will know I used to be a storyboarder for (you can laugh), Barbie films- and I had a great time! Rainmaker was a lovely studio and I worked with some great people, and while there were always tough times on the whole it was a wonderful and invaluable working experience.
One of the best films I worked on was Princess Power, here’s a scene from it that I enjoyed doing. They did change some things in the final pass but really I was amazed how much they kept in!
Anonymous asked: I just watched the new Princess Power Barbie movie DVD with my younger sisters and we were all wondering why the heck it was so much better than the other barbie movies and HTEN YOUR NAME WAS IN THE CREDITS I
WAS IT GOOD I STILL HAVEN’T SEEN THE FINISHED THING
also holy shit is that movie out already?! damn
so there’s going to be a new Barbie film coming out in Spring 2015 that I worked on and let me tell you I had so much fun storyboarding on this. I am genuinely excited to the point of bursting to see how it came out, apparently it’s going to be the first one where it’s all computer animated too! So long, mo-cap!
This was something I drew to say thanks to the director for being such a spectacularly great guy but the teaser trailer is out now so you chaps can have it too \o/
