A thought in which I believe: When Percival is run ragged, emotionally, or is simply having a particularly bad day, he decides he no longer wants to be Percival. He just wants to be a book.

It looks like Percival was about to do a magic trick and misplaced the rabbit.
Forgive me for my horrible hand writing it says: “Well, that’s the funniest thing I ever saw. I know it’s down here somewhere.”

What started as a very simple height chart for my own interest (and possible future reference?) it became this— whatever this is.
Something I realized while drawing this: When Percival is trying to keep himself poised, he can be very difficult to… read.
Bad pun aside, he is normally very animated— wild poses and hand gestures— without those there’s nothing to discern what the man is thinking. That may be why RGB and Hero are looking at him so oddly. Or perhaps it could be because he has a book for a head, but since one of them is a man with TV for a head, it really shouldn’t be all that odd.
RGB and Hero belong to Modmad. I love those two.
Ahh, Percival is so elegant, I really like his characterization! (nothing wrong with puns, they make the world go round :^) )

Holy smokes! I hadn’t expected that last picture to become so popular. It most certainly made my day. Thank you!
Percival is one of my older characters and most definitely one of my favorites so it’s really nice that other people like him.
More info about him:
- He’s old (think antique) and, despite his age, he can be immature at times. Usually involving others being wet blankets.
- His favorite pass time is narrating stories, preferably to an audience, and spending time with children.

BEST START TO THE DAY I COULD HAVE ASKED FOR
This guy’s name is Percival. He has a book for a head and is the caretaker of a sentient library.
He enjoys fairy tales and fantasy and has a weak spot for princesses. He’s old-fashioned but he’s wise (and easily distracted) and has a gentle heart.
He also likes to hear himself talk, which is probably what’s going on in the picture.
