anon bless you of course you can- there is a message option where you can write to whoever you’re supporting on Patreon, but if you can’t figure that don’t worry none just reply to a post I’ve previously made. I read the comments so I should pick up on what your hankering after! As for commissions if you can do try to pm me on that I will totally try to slot you in. Also the 5 dollar thing is a sort of ‘best option/most popular request’ for the once a month reward they get so it’s a bit of a guessing game on what that’s gonna be.

yes, sadly I’ve been hit by that too- I, amongst most Patreon folks, do not agree with these changes and have submitted my opinion to the site’s operators expressing as much (which I heartily recommend you do too, if you use it!) and I’ve signed the change.org petition to remove the feature.
I don’t want to put too much panic in the system, but really Patreon is the only way I’ve been staying afloat and creating my content for as long as I have; if things go too badly pear shaped I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to keep doing what I do. I have the kickstarter sales to hold me up a while, but I barely make minimum wage and the monthly payments from patreon are really a vital part of my income- losing that would be a massive kick in the teeth. There may be other services that I can employ in replacement of it, but… yeah. Oof.
Outside of that all I can do is say please look after yourselves first and foremost- if you need to lower or drop your pledge, I completely understand, but I would advise against a full blown creator exodus from the site before we know exactly what is happening. If we can persuade Patreon en masse that this is ridiculously bad decision that will impact negatively on their income as a company, as well as the income of all the creators they are supposed to be a support system for, hopefully they will change things back to how they used to be and bloody well ask us about making these kindsa decisions in the future I mean really man…
I have, but it was as a reward for my 5 dollar tier patreons! If you’d like a shot at my drawing a request for you I do one of these once a month (generally by picking what got the most requests or what seems the most fun idea)- here’s some examples!
Just a head’s up! I’ve changed the rewards for the 50 and 100 dollar tiers on my Patreon due to the fact that a) I’m running out of vol.1 TPoH books and b) we will, shockingly, be leaving the market place soon, so character cameos won’t be possible! At least not for a long while. Sorry if you were wanting one of those but them’s the breaks!
Now (on top of all the 5/10/20 rewards) the 50 dollar reward will be mostly sneak WIP previews of TPoH pages with full size image downloads of pretty much anything I’ve done (by request but I usually post random samples through the month anyway), and the 100 dollar tier will get you a full body character drawing of one of these options:
- line, no colour, up to 3 characters
- line and simple colour, up to 2 characters
- line and full colour/shading, 1 character (prolly some sorta bg too, yeah)

like being dependent on them. I know, most of the things lead to this situation are
happened above my control, but if it’s not necessary, I want to fix
this problem on my own. I just feel like this is my own
responsibility.
Hopefully things will get better, during October. but until then I still
need to support myself for two weeks.

my sister said I don’t mention my Patreon on tumblr enough so here’s a thing what is what I used as the basis of a quick run through of very basic toon/thorax anatomy 101 run through (which is the kind of thing I post at the 20 dollar tier! but I also post sketches and concept art and early designs at 10 dollars and you can also, y’know, make requests and such that I might take into consideration ahaha I am sorry im running out of savings…)

ooh! thank you for considering it :D there’s a summary on patreon but basically;
10 dollar supporters get WIP sketches and that sort of behind-the-scenes material for TPoH/TPatJ/other stories that I don’t post on tumblr, and sometimes one-off sketches that I just haven’t put up anywhere else.
The 20 dollars supporters get those, and step by step guides/explanations behind comic method things that I pile together, either on request or just off the cuff (like how I colour, use hands, panel etc.) I’m also starting to post things like little scenes that got cut out of the comic due to editing or had to be altered as I got to know the work better- here’s a small part of one I just posted!
