One of my faves from the comics, Gladston Gander! I’m so GLAD he’s gonna appear in the new Ducktales, I wonder what is he gonna be like…
I do like his new design as well but you know what? I’m gonna miss his dumb curly hair. So I decided to draw @modmad‘s fan-design instead of the official one because look. at it.

Are they happy tears?? Maybe- the world may never know…
(aw shucks) and hm you could be right there- but I sketched these left handed and threw the lines over in a pretty quick time. It’s kind of hard to describe but I see the forelock are a tube but also like two marshmallow shapes smushed together. The curls are likewise basically three cylinders wrapped around the back of the head but with enough jaggedyness to look organic? that said I just did these for fun I doubt Disney is gonna be like ‘hey can we use these’
realized I kinda made Gladstone’s legs longer than in Donald’s design but then I was like
what if he’s significantly taller than Donald
well okay or I could do this instead of starting actual work this morning- just an alternate take on the new Gladstone design! done kinda quick but I had fun (colours of last two are based off the old comics and the modern comics)
tried to smush the concepts from the other designs?
