Here we go- a little tribute to another favourite Uncle Scrooge comic of mine; Lars Jensen’s Body Swap! And yes I know everyone and their mum has done a body swap comic… but I haven’t! So this was great fun :D I do recommend you read that original comic first, but you’ll get the gist of it anyway I’m sure…
As ever, zoom in or open in new tabs if you can’t read the text! Actually, do that anyway: art always looks better full size.
cover for the next doodle comic! Unfortunately didn’t sit well in the ten-pictures-per-post thing tumblr has going so I’m posting it by itself… whelp. Should be able to post the first part of the comic tomorrow :D
I’m all caught up on Ducktales, and I wanted to practice drawing some other ducks. I blame @modmad for making such an amazing design for Gladstone! lol. ( I tried combining Mod’s hair style and the one in the show. Tried. )
Anonymous asked: What if in the new Gladstone episode, his luck had been serving him by being held captive by the demon? Because that was what brought his family to him, and even if he didn't know himself/wouldn't admit it, he probably really missed them a lot
that occurred to me too! I love it when his luck takes a big arcing curve in manipulating his overall situation and places him in the right place at the right time, even/especially if it seems like a bad one for a while!
whatever the case, it’s clear that he hasn’t interacted with the family for a while and has been given a wake-up call of a sort. Again, they played that moment of lucidity for laughs at the end, which is fine, but there’s a lot of genuine emotional character-developing potential there; that isolation has always been a reason why I find Gladstone so compelling and I really hope they utilise it fully.
