I been working really hard lately SO time for magicstone doodle reward! I seem to remember reading that witches have to brush their hair 100 times every morning or something? dunno if the same applies to sorceresses but it would be a cute thing to help out with =v=
was going to do a 20 page comic about jose and gladstone talking about their past relationship and break up but like. i forgot im lazy and will not clean up AND color 20 pages. sooooo have some yeah. have the drafts
i dont think they would have a proper breakup, given they probably didnt have a proper relationship. i can see gladstone still not completly over it even after years
just some WIP screenshots of this next doodle comic to give you hope- I’m trying to tear through it as fast as I can which is involving cheating the hell out of any perspective and using ALL the scribbles. all of them. Anyway it’s like 40 pages long so it’s going to take a while (and although I’ve got a few pages nearly done like the top set most of it is still like the last two pictures) SO UH
also those of you who follow me on twitter/read my tags might know that this one is??? a bit? odd. it’s. uh. it’s hard. you’ll understand when it gets here I am just, I’m a bit scared of making this one but I kinda sort of feel like I have to, so.
so I’ve been basically avoiding? learning to draw Gladstone’s hat properly for 2 years and there ain’t no excuse for that (also it is sort of important in the next comic so time to Sit Down and Study) I’m nearly there I think but for those interested in the process (which is similar to how I learn to draw Most Stuff):
a) figure out what kind of hat it is - either a homburg or a fedora (NOT A TRILBY DON’T YOU M’LADY ME) in most comics or at least some sort of crazy hybrid. a homdora. fedburg… a ferg. then like, try drawing real ones of those a while and start edging towards stylising them for comic usage.
b) quickly realize the comics know how to do this much better than I do so look at those real hard and figure out how to break them down for drawing/start blending the notes I had on Real Hats with those to get the look I want
c) get some sort of semblance of understanding of the drawing of hats which is not at all perfect but is at least less bad and uninformed than I was 24 hours ago and I can use to build on and hopefully get better at it as I keep drawing lots and lots of hats forever and ever and eeever

ooh fun- I think the Triplets all have very subtly different shades of blue: Dewey’s are the darkest, Huey’s are the lightest, and Louie’s are mid tone and maybe ever so slightly green.
Likewise I think there’s been comics where Gladstone is shown to have blue eyes, but because of his interestingly multifaceted self (and as someone who has literally had three people and an entire classroom argue over what colour my eyes are in front of my face) I think his eyes would look slightly more green or even completely green in certain lighting or situations. I mean, it’d be kinda cool if they turned green whenever he made a wish or got mad? Right?
