I went for the inventing a character based on a colour route again.
This is clog. He’s a dog… who is… also a clog. With a sock for a collar. Yeah. You get it.
Sitting posture inspired by the weird way our whippet sometimes sits with her feet sideways to the floor.
I decided to invent a character based on a colour. It was really fun so I might do it again.
This is ‘No.’
No can’t talk. He has trouble understanding people but he likes them and tries hard to be good and helpful and make them happy, but he never gets it right so all he ever hears is the word 'no’, which he now presumes to be his name. He cries a lot.
Tumblr hates lateral images so it’s here on DA too.
Not all of the characters/creatures but just the silhouettes of (most of) the main players.
one of these characters is going to be the next one to appear (in, like, 10 pages or so)

Someone asked me for a character sheet for Dial about an age and a half ago for cosplay purposes. I’m afraid my notes are a bit scatterdash so this is the best I have to offer in combination with the comic pages, sorry pal!

Pretty much the final character designs for this DnD web comic. Might start working on the first few pages next week, exciting stuff!

Second lot of these web comic character designs. Still all WIP but they’re great fun to work with!
Also just clarify some of the process; these are pre-existing characters from a DnD game that my client is writing into a comic, so the basic colour schemes and descriptions of them are already set. I offer a set of possibilities and hand it back to him for fine tuning, and then we back and forth the design to get it as close to what he wants as possible.
So I’m working with this really cool dude who wants to start a DnD based web comic sometime and he has this cast of insanely fun characters that he’s getting me to design. He’s also totally chill about me putting these out into the world and that’s rad so have some WIP character design sheets of some of these dudes. I might put up more during the week because damn I didn’t post anything over the holidays did I.
Also maybe read the comic if/when we start this thing up because shit’s gonna be a FIRESTARTER I’m telling you.
