So some of you want me to do more voice recordings and I’m just going to BAIL OUT ON THAT by posting this clip of my animation class messing about last year. Someone made a die out of cardboard and we ended up using it for games of keepie-uppy and they got quite extravagantly bonkers.
We also had steeplechase ping pong down the tables with ring binders and cups as obstacles.
CA78 was the best class ever man. BEST. CLASS. EVER.
(Also the ‘time is relative’ thing is a massive in joke- the handles fell off the face of the clock so we just stuck a piece of paper saying that underneath it.)
And this is my graduation short film from the Classical Animation program at the Vancouver Film School.
I’ve been writing dreams sporadically since several years now, and others from even my early childhood that just stucked in my head. I really think dreams is one of the most impressive processes of the human brain, and that say more about the individual than anything else. And as a plus side, they’re freaking fun.
I think they were the main reason I got into studying Animation, I wanted to study Film at first, but there’s something about animation. Animation comes really from the inside of the head. And as much as I’d like to get more involved with film, it still needs real, tangible stuff to tell something. Man, animation. You basically just create whatever you need. From scratch. From your head. Like dreams.
I usually say that I’d like to be able someday to actually go to a psychoanalyst. Not a psychiatrist. I don’t want someone to say what he thinks is wrong with me, I just want them to tell me what is me.
And if at the end is just like oh the typical penises and vaginas oh well big freaking surprise.
More CA78.
It’s awesome. Watch it.
Also Andres, seriously, you’re killing me, stop it.
We’re closing the blog where we used to post some comics during our animation school year. We weren’t really that constant because hey animation is serious bussiness and breaks your legs constantly.
But if you want to go check a few old comics, you can go here
