oh hey so remember scary burny wax lady from back here well yeah I got bored and there’s this bit where she turns Arthur and Mesi into toys because that is totally what a vindictive spooky fire sorceress would do right
well it is if you know how the story with a one-legged tin soldier and the paper ballerina ends anyway
f in all y I didn’t think I’d manage to finish this chunk ever but hopefully I can get the next bit done sooner because cliffhanger
one of the fun things I’d like to play around with in the feature is that they transition between film genres via reflective surfaces; puddles, mirrors, even sword blades in this case (also yes sorry for very bad bg’s but I’m on a tight schedule here whoops what a bad excuse)
I confess these aren’t really proper storyboards, more a sort of ugly mash of beatboards and storyboards, but hey it’s mostly for larks so what the hey \o/
previous SKIP boards explaining why Arthur is sopping wet over here
i drew modmad’s characters Arthur and Mesi cus they are adorable and she keeps drawing them so i wanna draw them too
I’M SO HAPPY
(via rusharound)
I’m not even joking I had about twenty asks about if Mesi ever found out about Arthur’s scars
I’m actually quite glad someone made me bring up this part of Arthur’s character, because it goes a long way to explaining why one of his first interactions with Mesi is such a complete car crash.
Also for those who are surprised, he’s not exactly the first silent comedian to get tangled up in WWI
