I just woke up and got the news, I don’t know what to say, so what I say shouldn’t really be taken as any sort of authority but if you’re feeling anything like the shock and dismay I felt when I knew about Brexit going through (or, indeed, that I still feel and that I’m feeling right now with this morning’s news), please know that that feeling makes you human. It is not a good feeling, at all, but it is a sign of your goodness. Unfortunately, being good is a lot more difficult than being horrible- but for all that we have to cling onto it. You are worried and scared witless because you are aware and compassionate and you care about what is going to happen- not just to you, in the immediate moment, but to everyone in the world for many years into the future.
This is a Big Thing. It is Bad. It is a huge weight to have to hold and it hurts when you do. If you need to collapse, for a little while, that’s completely understandable and you can take a day or two out to do so safely and with people you love. Collapse together; stay in contact with friends and hold onto each other, and hold on to that ability to care because we are all, all of us, going to have fight tooth and nail to keep that humanity and that goodness and do everything and anything we can to fix this. We have to ride out this shockwave and remember what we are and what we mean, and, when we have been collapsed together for long enough to gather strength, we have to accept our responsibility and use that strength to stand up, regardless of what is pushing down on us. We have to stand up.

(PS we've watched the Scarecrow and Sherlock Jr and are already planning on the General and Steamboat Bill Jr.) thank you!
GOOD EXCELLENT GREAT well gosh, the shorts are great imho and you can watch those like eating candy; I really like The High Sign, One Week, Neighbours and the Electric House (although I always cringe when he reaches the top of the stairs in one part because he broke his foot…), but really just pick and mix them they’re all charming. As for features I love Sherlock Jr. the best but Our Hospitality is a bit of a landmark, as is the Navigator and The Cameraman (which was Keaton’s own favourite out of the features he made). What I would say though is not to go further than 1928 as after that year he had his directive powers taken away and the quality of the work he had to do nosedived (although Spite Marriage has its charms, can’t stand the official soundtrack though I always have to put something else on…)
As a bonus he makes a cameo in It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World!

I DON’T KNOW IF I AM THOUGH asjfkas I mean really, all these characters have been through so much already (are going??? through??? holy shit) dear god I can’t be giving them more to deal with when all I want is for them to be happy and eat nice things and like maybe? eventually all the espers end up working in shifts for Ultimate Dad Master Reigen so it’s like Spirits n’ Such becomes Rent-an-Esper and it’s legit a massive success and they all have enough time to do it and cover for each other and not get stressed and maybe they get together on Thursdays to eat ramen and then watch a movie and fall asleep and end up being slightly late for school or their day job the next day or whatever the fuck but they don’t care and I don’t CARE
I JUST WANT THEM ALL TO BE LOVED AND LOOKED AFTER WITH A STABLE INCOME
