2/3. idk about watching the old Ducktales cartoons (to be honest I’ve not watched every episode myself) but it is possible to read the comics online! I do, of course, encourage people to go out and buy them when it’s possible but until such a time you can read them here (search for Donald Duck/Scrooge McDuck you’ll find them) and as a short cut I’m gonna just plonk you right at the beginning of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck bc you gotta read that man u gotta

you’re welcome and what a great title to have achieved, put ‘The Donald Duck Person’ on my resume hot damn but really I am so glad if I’ve introduced you to this wonderful world, the comics are a constant source of inspiration to me and have been since I was quite small, the fact that I can now take some time to draw these ducks and try to pay them back in some way is incredible :’D
don’t worry buddy I ain’t planning to leave any time soon I am glued to this computer only slightly less than literally (well okay there was that one time with the PVA)

c) I kind of love that this is such a stand alone Different take on the ducks, like, it’s not the same as the comics or the previous cartoons but that’s okay? It feels like a neato AU even though it’s gonna be a form of canon does that make sense?

The original appears to be called "Amelia & Gastone e la fortuna di troppo", was written by Antonella Pandini, drawn by Alessandro Gottardo, and was originally published in 1998. Haven't read the story myself, but just fyi, cause by lorde and heavens above, you made me fall for that pairing (please give us more !).

maybe! I certainly have more ideas (too many tbh), but I don’t have a great surplus of time at the moment- I really have to be on time for TPoH, and I really gotta get to finishing TpatJ so it might take a long time to get around to it, but thank you! I am glad people seem to be enjoying them :’D
