I get a lot of kind messages but knowing I’m helping inspire people to write more, whatever the reason or the content, is enormously satisfying and a very great comfort when I’m unable to work to my usual extent like now, so thank you for telling me! I hope I feel better too (looks like it’s gonna be like 5 weeks for my leg to get fully better at least, but hoping I can somehow get some sketching done in amongst it!)

dude that sounds scary?! best of luck with that but enjoy the painting, I’m actually planning on doing a bit of pencil sketching today because sitting with my leg up at the cintiq is majorly uncomfortable but I can draw laying down with a pencil and paper so yaaaay traditional media :’D

well for me it was just kinda, straight forward? I never had a crush on anyone and only said yes to people who asked me out because I didn’t want to be rude- of course, I eventually realized that accepting when I had no ability to return those feelings was more rude, to both them and to myself! anyway, every discovery and journey is different so I can’t answer that question for you friend, be patient with yourself and allow yourself time to observe your feelings

And it's like- yeah! they just deleted 75 years of successful design. it makes me sad! how can i feel better?
OOF. Tricky. Well uh, gosh I do have to confess I do understand where you and your brother are coming from. it’s hard to not feel ‘dented’ with that kind of feeling inside, but we have to remember that whatever the new show introduces it doesn’t erase what exists and has existed for nearly 8 decades! the comics are alive and loved and the designs and characters that live in them equally so- the show (like a movie adaptation of a book) is another world that is based on those characters, but isn’t the same. Resentment isn’t progressive- creativity is! Nobody can stop you from drawing and writing material based in your understanding of the world, and nobody is forcing you to watch the new show and/or accept it as the be-all-and-end-all of the Duckverse. Your view and your love of their world is eternally yours; treasure and celebrate it!

doesn’t sound familiar, sorry! also sometimes I do just plain miss messages- I’m really sorry if that happens but I get a lot of them (it can get up to 40 a day if I’ve posted a comic!) also sometimes I just don’t have time to answer all of them so if it happened/happens to you I apologise, I’m trying my best but I am mostly here to draw so yyyyeah I’m kind of rubbish at inbox tending sometimes :’D also yes tumblr does eat them randomly from time to time I still don’t understand what that’s about…
