Anonymous asked: Random italian anon here. I am happy that you enjoy the comics we grew with and also thankful for translating them in english in order to make others enjoy them too. I really like your takes on all Paperopoli/ Duckburg characters and the Depth you give them in your drawings. And that master level shading is The "i ginocchi dell'ape"!
you know sometimes google translate just straight up improves things
THANK YOU WONDERFUL ITALIAN ANON I APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT AND THINK YOU ARE ALSO THE KNEES OF THE BEE
Anonymous asked: okay now I'm worried that we are all going to cry an awful lot with this next duck comic you got in the works bc you said in the tags that the next doodle comic 'is a doozy' and the last couple of stories have been cute and funny and I KNOW YOU MOD. I KNOW YOU.
Anonymous asked: hey mod! just letting you know about the possible other side of article 13. while the new law certainly doesnt protect fan creation and the like, it was designed to help censor extreme fake news sources. outcry about it was spread by alt right leaning youtubers. im not saying theres no cause for concern, but at least this law isnt being made in the same vein as net neutrality.
I know, and that’s the heart breaking part because I want to help protect creators and their content (and stop rampant fake news sources)- but the thing being proposed is like using a hammer to crack a nut, and there’s too many gaps that could allow it to be misused by large corporations. This is the last thing I’ll post about this because I’m giving myself and all of you a headache with it, but I hope you understand and if I’m wrong I’ll come back and delete all these- I just feel strongly about censorship and I don’t want to risk losing something that’s so important for allowing people to connect with each other and create laughter together.
Anonymous asked: there is now a page/essay about Magicstone on the Scrooge McDuck Wiki, that is all
anon you gotta be giving me links when you say things like this there’s like a bazillions pages that could be on and I’m not very wiki savvy :’D (although even if it’s not legit I’m loving the idea aahaha oh dear)
Anonymous asked: what do you think of the latest Ducktales ep? :o
ah, confession time- the thing is I kinda… stopped watching? I had real trouble picking it up after that hiatus and even before that there was always a struggle. I had to be honest with myself eventually and accept that it actually takes me energy to watch the show. Like, I personally lose energy watching it, and I can’t afford that. I don’t want to turn into a bitter old man about a show that is totally valid and which lots of people enjoy, which is its own thing and its own take, but I can’t help comparing it with material I’ve known and loved since I was like 6 years old- I never watched the previous Ducktales cartoon either so it’s always been a fish-out-of-water experience for me :’D anyway, this is not a comment on the quality of the show: it’s just that for the sake of my mental health and energy levels the best thing is to just let things be. I’ve decided it’s just not for me, and I have so much to do I can’t afford to spend time on a show that I’m neither obliged nor compelled to watch. So! Please continue to watch and support it and have a grand old time, I just have to listen to my gut instinct and use myself in the best way possible.
Anonymous asked: Disney won't hire you to make canon duck content because you have the supernatural power to make anyone love characters that you love and that includes Gladstone and frankly they just don't want that to happen on a mass scale
Anonymous asked: ABout the latest doodle comic: you already reference Barks's "Kitty-Go-Round" ten-pager, so…is Rag-ear supposed to be one of Clementine's children all grown up?
I was thinking more like part of Clementine’s legacy of always having a cat to keep the mice off those thousand dollar bills, and with Scrooge getting increasingly mad rats (see Power Play on Killmotor Hill) he had to get increasingly mad cats to deal with them, but who knows? maybe Rag-ear is related to the original Money Bin Moggy!
Anonymous asked: how old you think Magica and Gladstone are?
uhhh I made a headcanon post a while ago damn I can’t remember but basically I’ve always seen Magica as being in her early 40′s and Gladstone/Donald being in their early/mid 30′s but duck ages are a mystery and Scrooge is like at least 200 years old and Grandma Duck is immortal so what the hey
