Anonymous asked: I'm super tired and overreached at work and was getting really stressed (I work in corrections, around violent offenders), but then I remembered you and all your stresses and how you're still giving these legitimately honest smiles and I just wanted you to know imagining your smile made me smile... And now the inmates are concerned, because I'm still smiling after a big fight. Just wanted you to know that. Love you, keep being the light in the dark, you wonderful thing, you. <3

holy macaroni that sounds intense, I am glad if I helped in any way but whoa my good anon that’s WILD take care and honestly sometimes there is no better way to instil fear awe and respect than smiling serenely :)

Anonymous asked: your tags on the carousel post are the most terrifying thing i've ever read! thanks!

Anonymous asked: how's the hand doing, mod?

they both pretty stink but better than was :Tb

Anonymous asked: an embarrassing confession: I don't understand the last line of Trial of the Unicorn at all. is "he's a good duck, man" a reference to something? please enlighten a poor confused fan.

it’s a very nerdy ref to the fact that Carl Barks was often called ‘the Good Duck Man’- partly due to the original comics never crediting who drew them, and the fact that his shone so much brighter than others with their distinctive story telling and visual brilliance. People didn’t originally know who was responsible but could identify that one artist was responsible for certain high quality duck stories, hence the rather anonymous nickname

Anonymous asked: this might just be me, but id really appreciate it if you could make the text bigger in the duck doodle comics.

sorry, that bugs me too, but I’m actually using the same font size as in the official comics (in fact it’s slightly bigger!) the best way to read the pages is to open in a new tab so you can see it in the original 800 pixel wide size it’s meant to be, that or you can wait ‘til the whole thing is complete and then I’ll upload it all full size on my website (and then you can read the whole thing in one go which is. better anyway) :Tb

Anonymous asked: Sorry if that question is weird or something, but I'm really curious - I want to try creating webcomic, but I don't know what place on internet would be the best for that. Do you recommend some web platforms for webcomics?

if you mean posting, smackjeeves is good as a way to post and reach new readers and free to use! I use it as my mirror site (in case my home website crashes or something). As for making the comics, that’s all up to you anon babe go live ur dreams

Anonymous asked: May the Hand guide you. Waka waka.

and you also. Waka waka.

Anonymous asked: I just wanna say thank you so much, I’ve been working on a webcomic for two years but I was losing my spark, I was lost and confused so I was pretty down in the dumps for a while, but there was something about reading your webcomic for the first time and going through your blog a bit that kinda rejuvenated the river of inspiration and motivation! Like I’m not sure how to explain this but it made me feel excited to finish the development? Words cannot do justice on how I feel, thank you Mod!

AAA GOOD LUCK WITH THAT WEBCOMIC and I’m glad if I helped get that elusive spark back! it can be tricky to do, keep going! I believe in you!

Anonymous asked: how come you draw Gladstone blond?

because that’s the look I feel is the most true to Carl Barks’ idea of what he looked like! but also bc I just prefer the way it looks :’D

Anonymous asked: Where’s your sweater from? The want is REAL
