sadly I’m not sure- as a kid I was lucky and had a pen friend who sent me some with post-it notes all over the inside as translations, and some of the French ones I could manage to read if I had a dictionary next to me :’D these days I am blessed by the generosity of tumblr’s multilingual duck fan base and their kindness in occasionally translating and posting the comics on places like imgur. I am not sure it is possible to read ALL the comics that have ever been unless you can speak like, every language ever, but I just love being able to read whatever I can so any time there’s a new story up anywhere it’s such a lovely present and I get very excited :’D

they really are man, and yes he appears in a very few- I believe he is actually in one or two of the last ones Barks did? there was certainly one DT comic that Don Rosa wrote the script for that involved time travel (Back in Time for a Dime) but on the whole the two worlds are just that, two different worlds that happen to have the same cast. Think multiverse. They did/do have independent Ducktales and Darkwing comics though so you can always check those out!

oh gosh, you know what I think it’d be more fun to see what you interpret them as! they are so very much what they are in my head I would find it actually very hard to pick races for them, so please go ahead and draw what you think they’d suit!

Hero = Paladin OR a Monk. Just because. She’d think they were super cool.
Madras = the best NPC merchant ever

TOby = world’s most long suffering Cleric
Assok = Druid. trust me.
Julienne = Fighter. many stabds
Melody = there are way too many bards in this party but I mean BARDBARIAN
Tinker = Wizard??? nerd. nerd class. magical mechanic nerd.
Tailor = Sorcereress
Cell = another NPC merchant but also a Warlock and everyone is Afraid to Ask

it was! it’s this short Barks comic- it’s simple but I kind of love it :’D
it’s also where I got the idea that Gladstone supposed that cats bring bad luck

np buddy, generally it’s because I think they have such great potential but you can definitely blame A Gal for Gladstone for kicking me (and a number of other comic readers I’m certain) into the Magicstone pit- also if you can’t be bothered reading that I summarise it here. they appear together in a couple of other stories and man, I just love the energy you get from the collision two morally neutral, magically inclined, societally ostracised and emotionally complex characters that are on opposite sides of both the luck scale and the dime debate. They have a great deal in common, but also have great diversity from each other, and they make for excellent comedy! There’s endless opportunities for balance, humour, romance, adventure, and chaos! What’s not to love?
