Hey so you know Robert Valley?

No?

Well he’s a super amazing animator who worked on the Gorillaz music videos, the opening to the Beatle’s Rockband and helped design Motor City amongst many, many other rad as hell things.

He’s also a buddy of mine and he’s just started up his kickstarter project for a graphic novel he’s working on- Pear Cider and Cigarettes. It’s based on a true story following the life of one his friends.

Spoiler: it’s bloody awesome.

So, yeah, if you’ve got a dime, help a bro out would you?

Or you know, just reblog the crap out of this thing that’s equally awesome.

Okay so I really love Gravity Falls like EEEEEEE.

GOOD ONE DISNEY.

The animators are taking turns to stand against the wall and be shot at with a rapid firing gattling-style nerf gun.

Meanwhile, the serious topic of debate with our current board is precisely how violently you can hit someone with a pillow in a pillow fight without it being deemed as violent.

This is what constitutes a normal day for us.

Because I feel like a stinker for pulling the plug on M.O.D. so HERE HAVE SOME STUFF.

Also animation progress videos are kind of handy for portfolios I guess.

( ahahaha helps if I put the link to the movie down- https://vimeo.com/34817753 )

Might as well fill in the gaps for the new folks- yes, and no. I’ve studied animation for four years; three at Newport in Wales and one at Vancouver Film School. I’m currently employed as a storyboard artist for an animation studio in Vancouver which is wonderful, but I hope to be hired as an animator in the future and make my own films in the long run. Mind you, even if I get hired as an animator, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to call myself one; it takes a lifetime to become anything close to that.

This is the film I made while I was at VFS. I did another one called Dinosaurs in Flash which is up on my vimeo if you like this one :)

p5stuck:

i keep seeing it all over my dash and after ten seconds of research i have discovered:

This is not a fake trailer, but it isn’t a Nintendo trailer either.

This is a fanmade video proposing Nintendo should remake Majora’s Mask.

Created by Pablo Belmonte (psyco3ler) and Paco Martinez (Odewill) (http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&q=odewill#/d3f8a09)
we are creating this small test for the “big N” as a proposal for make this project true.
We work in the game industry and we are in love with this idea long time ago.
The music are totally provisional. We worked for long time in concepts and designs, but for the real production we expend only one (hard) week, thats the reason of some “bugs” in animations and postproduction that we want to fix soon.

We hope that you enjoy and help us with your support.

Rebloobing to credit because EVERYONE LOVES CREDITING ARTISTS.

“after the popularity of “Footage Loose” we were asked to create “PUSH IT”. A comedy video that was to be shown before a day long acting workshop for the animators. To help loosen us up and get us in good spirits. Enjoy. It’s a really dumb parody of those wierd 80’s rock videos. Starring Dreamworks animators and showcasing the live action reference they’ve shot on the job while creating your favourite animated movies.

I do not own any rights to the music in this video. It’s only used for parody purposes. Our workplace does not authorize, or endorse this video.

If you needed any more evidence that animators are the most noble and elegant creatures of this world.

I “performed” this “dance” for video reference of this kid in episode 302 of Avatar, “The Headband.” I rarely shy away from making a complete ass of myself in the name of fun, so I thought I’d share this with you guys. This was taped back in 2006, but I think my back still hurts.

Ladies and gentlemen

the reason I want to become an animator.
