RUSH WROTE A PLAY

rusharound:

Hellohello ladies and gents! If you hadn’t noticed, Rush was rather busy and scarce for the past few months. First allow me to say everything is fine, of course, everything is just fine! It’s better than fine, actually, it’s great! Let me explain…

See that? Do you SEE THAT? THAT WAS A PLAY. THAT I WROTE. I WROTE A PLAY. I PRODUCED IT. IT WAS ON STAGE. SOMETHING I CREATED ON PAPER BECAME REAL. (Dsylexiafeind created my poster, bless his heart. Thank you so much Vic!)

Basically, I wrote, directed, managed, choreographed, and designed this show from start to finish and that sort of thing can keep a person busy (Not to mention making all the costumes). I of course did not do this on my own, I had an amazing team and an incredible cast helping me out the whole way through. The whole process was such an incredible experience, truly a test of one’s artistic integrity and what lengths they are willing to go for the sake of their creation. Now then…

Psychopomp & Circumstance tells the story of the Grim Reaper (Played by the wonderful Kenneth Tynan):

Who is actually a dork named Henry

And the Headless Horseman (The impeccably fun Travis Friday):

image

Who is actually a bigger dork named Chaucer, and Henry’s bff

image

Yes, they really are bffs.

But they’re mostly idiots.

Anyway, basically, the pitch is:

When the Grim Reaper is framed for the death of mortal, it’s up to his best friend the Headless Horseman to investigate amidst the world’s Psychopomps and find the truth before bad stuff happens.

Now unfortunately the play isn’t running anymore, but fear not! We’ve got a video on the way! In the meantime, here’re some stills and interviews, provided by our wonderful photographer and videographer, Rob Hunt!

And the album here

Interviews by Hollywood North Magazine as well!

I will be posting the video as soon as I can get my hands on it! Stay tuned!
