It’s been almost two months since Craig announce that Wander Over Yonder will be cancelled by the end of June, and to this day pretty much every fan even the ones who aren’t fans of the show have been putting aside their time to help get Wander another season, and i think that’s just awesome!

So much has happened thru out those two months that i would like to tell you whats been going on down below.

image

First off one of the petitions to help save Wander has reached over 17,000 signatures and counting! This is simply incredible, knowing that there are SO many people who want to save the show really does give you all kinds of hope~ Now the petition is expecting to reach 25,000. Seems like a long run, but with all these increasing fans it might be possible.

Also someone usernamed Peepsuqeak just finished up this map pinpointing almost all of the fans from around the world who signed the petition. Not too much info is leaked, but i think it’s a great way of knowing how many fans of Wander there really are and how spread out they are.

For a while now a lot of fans have been sending letters to the people in charge of Disney TV shows and out of all the letters i’ve read a large majority of them were really polite and considerate! I highly recommend any and everyone to send a letter to the company.  I just feel that sending letters are the most effective way of letting Disney know how much you want to save certain shows and the company does often read our mail, as proven by the crew members them self. I think one of the more common things fans have done to support the show was make  #SaveWOY themed fan art which i find to be just as helpful! A lot of the fan art i’ve seen are so nice and creative, it really does show how much people love Wander Over Yonder. This site is a great source in finding all sorts of #SaveWOY-esc fan art. [Link]

Speaking of fans, Fans from all around the globe have been creatively expressing how much they would love Wander to get a 3rd season and how much they are heart broken to know that it won’t. Some comments are good and some not so good, but either way everyone was really hoping for another season. If you need anymore proof just head on over here. [Link

Right now on the official #SaveWOY Tumblr page they are hosting this big event called Operation: FAN BOOM. What this is all about is that fans must make a short video or take a photo of themselves holding a #SaveWOY  sign saying “Save Wander Over Yonder” and then send their videos/photos via email to savewoy@gmail.com, and for those who are camera shy or don’t have the right equipment this event also accepts pictures, just as long as they have either “Save Wander Over Yonder” or “ #SaveWOY” on it. If any of you would like to participate then i suggest going to this link that should tell you all about the event. [Link] You better hurry cause it may end on June 30th.

It gives me so much hope knowing that even Craig McCracken and his crew want their show to get a 3rd season! Where they would sometimes give out a few hints on what the 3rd season had in stores to the fans, well mostly Dave Thomas and Frank Angones. Craig has even acknowledge how much the fans are willing to help save his show. [Link]

image

Now on with more events, the same person who worked on the SaveWOY fan map has been working on this project called 200 Reasons To SaveWOY, which is where people send their reasons as to why they want to save Wander to Peepsqueak so that the person can write down each of their reasons on pieces of paper which then get mailed off to the people who are in charge of Disney XD.  The event might of already ended, but you can go to their page to see any info. Not too long ago a campaign site called Save Disney Shows which is a site that specials in reviving Disney TV series has offered to help our cause in saving Wander Over Yonder, but for a while now the fans have been trying to find a leader for the unofficial #SaveWOY page that Save Disney Shows was kindly enough to make for us. So if you know anyone who knows how to use HTML and would like to run the #SaveWOY page please go to the Save Disney Shows site and let them know!

image

A while ago someone made a #SaveWOY  page on a site called Thunderclap to help spread awareness around the internet about the cause. It managed to reach it’s goal to over 500 supporters and has socially reached up to 235,360 people. Not sure if it will do much, but it’s good to know that #SaveWOY is reaching all though out the internet.

image

This isn’t really #SaveWOY related, but someone by the username commander-peepers has made a little survey all about Wander Over Yonder, such as favorite character or least favorite episode

image

Just a heads up on May 30th they will be a two new episodes of Wander Over Yonder called “the Hot Shot” and “the Night Out”, two of which might be Dominator episodes. So it’s very important that a lot of us watch the new episodes when they air.

I think that’s about all the info i have about the #SaveWOY movement. I’m glad to see that it’s still going strong. It may take awhile, but hopefully we’ll get the 3rd season that we always wanted if we all stick together and try to save the show however we can. Sometimes it can take months even years for a show to be revived. Take Kim Possible for example which took 6 months for another season to be announced thanks to it’s fans. Other examples can be seen in this page right here. [Link]

So no matter how things may seem hopeless never stop supporting #SaveWOY

17000 signatures? Thanks you guys!

Anonymous asked: I don't quite understand that episode with the self-awareness orb. WHAT DOES IT MEAN. PLEASE HELP. Also you're wonderful ily. <3

breezyzephyr:

So jiishiki [自意識] was translated as “self-awareness” though other translations give “self-consciousness.” It’s hard to explain, but it’s like.. how you view yourself? You can have a lot of self-consciousness about how you act or very little. Osomatsu and Todomatsu call Choromatsu’s case “jiishiki rising” because in Japanese, people say “自意識が高い” or “your self-awareness is high.” In this case, it means that you are reaching egoistic levels. Choromatsu’s jiishiki rose to great heights because he kept saying he was going to do all of these things. Lowkey boasting, you know? A “humble brag” if you will www

Jiishiki isn’t always negative, if you say someone has jiishiki, usually you mean they’re confident in themselves. Too much of it isn’t good though!

great-blaster has their own take on the meaning of jiishiki and how it correlates to each Matsuno’s jiishiki appearance that I agree with!

Hey!

The back cover of the Over the Garden Wall DVD has been revealed!  Which means I can talk about the special features now:

  • Behind Over the Garden Wall: A short behind the scenes video that includes some interviews with the main cast, myself, and some footage of the recording sessions.
  • Original Pilot: The original pilot, when the show was gonna be called Tome of the Unknown and it was about Wirt and Greg looking for a magic book.
  • Alternate Title Cards: Before settling on using the title cards we used, Nick Cross and I got a bunch of dry ice and tried to make a foggy looking title sequence. It never really came together right, so we ended up scrapping it… but it’s sort of interesting to see, i think. I put the full version of the end credits song over this video so you get to hear that song uncut.
  • Deleted Animatics: We cut a lot of stuff during the storyboard phase to make sure the episodes ended up being 11 minutes long, but we also cut some stuff during the animatic phase  (which is like a video of the storyboards with voices behind it).  Here are some of the more interesting/funny lines that were cut. Don’t expect, like, full sequences or anything… really just a few lines here and there. But I think they’re worth seeing (which is why we’re including them!)
  • Commentaries: Full commentaries for all the episodes of the series by me and Nick Cross.
  • Composers Cut: Probably the coolest special feature… you can watch the whole series without any dialog or sound-effects; just music and visuals! It’s pretty neat! I think the composers even spiffed up a few areas, and left some easter eggs and stuff here and there!

<><><>

The DVD comes out September 8th (in about a month) but you can pre-order it now if you want.

It’s $10 on Amazon and a bunch of other sites (Walmart, Best Buy, etc). It’s also available on the Cartoon Network site directly, I believe… and probably other places. If you don’t want to buy it at any of these places I listed you can probably find it somewhere else, or ask your local DVD salesman (?) that you want to get a copy and they can figure it out. I’ll leave the Amazon link here for your convenience though:
